Climate of Delhi

Delhi has always earned special attention whenever we are into a discussion on India. Delhi being the capital city of India is a famous tourist destination. If you are planning for a vacation in Delhi in the coming future, then, collect a brief information about Delhi and that surely includes a basic idea of the climate of Delhi. Delhi is known for its extreme type of climate. It is very cold in winter and terribly hot in summer months. Those who are not habituated with this kind of extreme climate, would definitely fall sick. So, it is better to take all sorts of precautions. Winter begins in Delhi in the month of November and the coldest time is from New Year to the first half of January. Avoid touring Delhi in these months. The best time for touring Delhi is February and March. From the middle of March the weather becomes pretty hot and the heat is intolerable from April to June.

During these summer months, the temperature can rise up to 45 degree Celsius. Thus, we can say that the climate of Delhi is not soothing. But this kind of extreme climate does not really hamper the growth of Delhi tourism. People are ready to tolerate both the heat and freezing breeze as Delhi is counted as one of those very few places which offer a perfect blend of history with modernity. Monsoon arrives in Delhi at the end of June though Delhi experiences rainy season even in the winter months. The rains during the winter season facilitate the farmers.

This is the right time to grow rabi crops. The climate of Delhi thus fluctuates very often though it is not unpredictable. The tourists in Delhi must take adequate protection both from the heat and the cold breeze.
